Long-time Mac users will probably remember Adium, a communicator that connected AIM, MSN, XMPP, Yahoo and other messaging applications to each other. While you can still use Adium today, there are better options out there.
Enter “Franz”. The new application is very similar to Adium, but it allows you to connect the newest messaging and chat programs, including Slack, HipChat, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, WhatsApp, Google Hangouts, Skype, and many more.
Franz basically combines the web versions of these messaging systems into one easy, simple place for you to use.
Is it secure?
According to its website, Franz does not read anything you type, send, or receive. That’s between you and the particular messaging service you’re using. The only purpose of the application is to successfully deliver and send your messages in one convenient place.
Franz is available for free here for Mac, Windows and Linux.
